Founded in 1939
Andersen & Stender was founded in Classensgade, Copenhagen, by Ib Andersen and Hugo Stender, with a focus on supplying buttons for menswear.
1956
The business expanded its product range with the acquisition of Johan Lavendt in Herning, entering the broader fashion and textile accessories market
1969
The company relocated to a new headquarters in Herning. Anker Jensen, one of the relocating employees, later took over the business. Today, it’s run by his son, Jacob Ryssel and Bo Nielsen.
